RD411's philosophy is simple – the more successful each individual dietitian or health care professional is, the more efficient and successful the health care system is as a whole. This is a community site and we welcome submissions and ideas from all professional colleagues and practitioners. Our goal is to get you out of the office and back with patients or clients doing what you do best!
With RD411, nutrition and health care professionals all over the world can benefit from a centralized resource that provides evidence-based practice tools to optimize nutrition and health services, information on the latest products based on the current scientific information available, and resources that can be used for client and professional education. We know practitioners are busier than ever with their daily duties and simply do not have the time to design or reinvent every policy, treatment protocol, in-service, and resource. Let RD411 help.
RD411.com offers FREE access to downloadable, peer-reviewed materials that can empower professionals to do their jobs more efficiently, which, in turn, translates into improved patient care.

On www.licensetosnack.com, a non-branded site with sections for health professionals and consumers, we added information from the 2010 Dietary Guidelines and a “Snack MyPlate” feature.  The Frito-Lay RD team will be at FNCE September 25-27th, so stop by booth #1635 to meet them!

2010 Dietary Guidelines for America
The 2010 Dietary Guidelines for America were released on January 31, 2011. While we are delighted to welcome this long-awaited release, we recognize that many of RD411.com’s materials reference or have direct links to the 2005 Dietary Guidelines. Over the next few months, our staff will be revising and updating our materials to reflect the change. This is a huge task and we ask for your patience and your assistance during the process.

Remember, most of our files (unless they are PDF’s) are downloadable. You can save them to your hard drive or a flash drive and make changes yourself before you printing copies. We encourage you to personalize and update the materials you use regularly to reflect the 2010 Guidelines. Be sure to include links to the USDA website (http://www.health.gov/dietaryguidelines/) if appropriate.
When you come across files that need to be changed from the 2005 to 2011 Guidelines, please send the direct link to Liz Friedrich ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ), and we will make sure that piece gets updated and reposted as soon as possible. Don’t forget to post your questions and comments about the Dietary Guidelines for Americans on our forum!
