Toddler and Kid Center Set To Launch Next Month

RD411.com is starting the new year with a big bang! We are happy to announce a brand new center devoted to toddlers and kids. This new specialty area will have over 100 resources all centered around raising happy, healthy and nutritionally sound children. Check back for our big launch in early February.

Here are some important topics and fan favorites that might become your favorites too!

RD Marketing Tri-Fold Brochure

Do your patients and clients ever ask you to explain what a registered dietitian does? Do you need brochures for a health fair? Do you want to plan a marketing campaign but haven’t had time to design a brochure? Take a look at the professionally designed tri-fold brochure that explains the who, what and where of RDs. RD411.com offers two versions – one for printing in your office and a high resolution version to take to your professional printer.

Are You Up To Speed on the Medicare Reimbursement Changes Coming for Hospital Acquired Conditions?

This is important reading for all dietitians working in hospitals. Think of this as a great opportunity for RDs to lead the staff education that will be necessary when the new payment rules take effect for pressure ulcers. Use the RD411.com wound materials to get your educational programs started.

Have You Visited the Wound Resource Center?

If you work in healthcare today, you understand the emphasis on preventing and healing wounds. RD411.com is here to help with over 90 online resources dealing with wound care. To save you even more time, this special section of RD411.com can be accessed by visiting www.wounds411.com as well as from the main page of RD411.com. There are resources for patients, family members, and multi-disciplinary staff.

Spanish Handouts in the Diabetes Center

Did you know RD411.com now offers more than 40 handouts on various diabetes topics in Spanish? For example, a hot topic is carbohydrate counting. Check out our patient handout, which is available in both English and Spanish. You can even download it to your own word processing program so you can add your own name and contact information. Muy bien!

Can You Name the Bony Prominences?

Check out this quick quiz to see if you can correctly identify the pressure points of the bony prominences. Use this to get a staff in-service started and award a prize for the team member with the most correct answers.

Three New Slide Presentations for You to Use

This month we have three new slide sets you can download and modify for your own presentations. Please remember, slides are best viewed with a high speed connection and may take up to five minutes to download. New topics to the RD411.com slide library include Nutrition and Aging, Making Sense of MyPyramid, and Defining Dietary Supplements.

Form of the Month: Weekly Weight Tracking Record

As the old adage goes, if it isn’t documented, it isn’t done. Make sure your weights are documented on a clean, easy to read form. This one is ready to go – just download and print it out.
